MOM

These handbound books and slipcase were made for an intimate project of graphic designer Anke Neefs. The book is printed on Biotop paper and tracing paper to emphasize the fragility of the subject. The books are coptic bound in kettle stitch with grey thread and they have an exposed spine. A hardcover with exposed cardboard was glued to the front and back of each book and a unique slipcase in beige linnen was custom made to fit one book.

BINDING METHOD:

'Clean-cut' greyboard hardcover in coptic stitch with beige thread, including a casette book-sleeve with cut-out.
