This art book invites you to step in an emotional journey through Fine Art portraiture. By deciding not to retouch his images and not to use makeup for his models, only using natural light in the studio, Steve Dean Mendes created a safe environment for his protagonists, initiating a process of removing all masks. He captures raw and unaltered emotions and presents a story of love, joy, but also of pain, suffering and abandonment.
The book was bound as a hardcover with pale, skin-toned linnen. Asymmetrically placed you can see an image that represents the inside of the book: comfort and consolation. The title was embossed into the cover with black hotfoil and invites the reader to touch and feel.
